They are looking for anything to soak up the time and the nervous energy that they used to expend by smoking. Sometimes people take up an alternative kind of smoking, like a pipe or a cigar. Those are still tobacco products, but don’t seem to have the same harmful effects as smoking cigarettes does. That is not a scientific opinion, just strictly what some people have found success with.
